LONDON: Luke Donald has retained his world No.1 spot ahead of the year's third major, the British Open, which starts at Royal Lytham on July 19.

 

The Englishman, who defends his Scottish Open crown at Castle Stuart near Aberdeen this week, stays narrowly ahead of Rory McIlroy of Northern Ireland with Lee Westwood of England in third place.

 

Tiger Woods stays at number four leading a list of six Americans in the top 10.
