Death toll rises to 8 in Gujrat attack

GUJRAT: The death toll in Gujrat military camp attack has risen to eight, Geo News reported.

 

According to details, one more injured in the attack succumbed to injuries in CMH Gujranwala.

 

The armed miscreants attacked the camp of security forces near River Chanab, killing six military personnel and a policeman on the spot while three others received bullet wounds.

 

The injured were rushed to CMH Gujranwala where one more military personnel succumbed to his injuries .

 

The camp was set up a month ago to search for the body of a Major, drowned in the river.

The only difference between the soldiers and militants is that soldiers can be noticed from a very long distance due to their uniform while the attacker could be anyone including a women or a 14 year old kid.

@Dr.Nisar - sir no one was sleeping there but unfortunately the military persons could not fire as they were civilians in near vicinity while it was such a surprise that they could not respond timely. It is very strange that the camp was there for more than a month just to search for the body.Is it not rather a long search.Again the security was was very weak rather nonexistent because the attack took place during daylight.Again military camp being attacked in places like Gujrat is very worrying.Thevwhole incident requires a thorough investigation.
