Islamabad: The government has decided to abolish the contempt of court ordinance and replace it with new legislation. Geo News has received a copy of the new contempt of court draft bill.

Under the new draft bill, the President, Prime Minister, Ministers and Chief Ministers will be immune from contempt of court proceedings under article 284-1 of the constitution.

The draft bill also states that criticism of court orders if made in the appropriate language would not be contempt of court.

There goes the last of any defense the people of Pakistan had against a corrupt government. All these crooks may be getting away with it right now, but once they are 6 feet under, which we all hope is soon, they will be made to answer for their evil deeds on this planet (hopefully). Its just too bad that 'only the good die young', my generation is suffering the most in this country.

This law will pass. The supreme court will strike it down as unconstitutional. Watch it happen.

Do we still want to vote for Zardari, wake up people, get rid of these dishonest politicians and journalists , that does not mean you should vote for Mama Nawaz and Khadama Alla, they are all same. Look at Imran khan and his services for Pakistan. IMRAN KHAN brought us world cup, hospitals and more, he is honest , do yourself a favor and vote for IMRAN KHAN. God bless Pakistan, Imran Khan and our hero chief justice of Pakistan, Janab Iftikhar Chaudhry sahib.

I wonder where is Asma Jehangir, she claims of speaking truth and standing with justice. Now how could court do justice when few are above the law.

Im shocked. Not every election is rigged... unfortunately we elect these people ourselves. I hope we all suffer enough so we don't make the same mistake again. Then again, we have one of the most uneducated country in the world and have a history of being manipulated to vote for a certain person and blaming India/Israel/USA for everything
