PESHAWAR: The residents of Tehkal area protested against the prolonged hours of loadshedding and blocked the University Road Wednesday, Geo News reported.

 

According to sources, the residents took to streets early morning against loadshedding and blocked the University Road by staging a sit-in.

 

Long queues of vehicles were witnessed at the road due to blockade that caused immense trouble to the commuters.

 

The administration diverted the traffic towards alternate routes instead of holding talks with the agitated protesters.

 

The protesting residents told that they are facing 22 hours of power outages on daily basis that has caused made their lives miserable.

If the govt Solarise the electric driven irrigation tube wells , about 3000 megawatt electricity would be saved which would appreciably minimize load shedding.This project could be accomplished just in 3 months
