LAHORE: The strike by Young Doctors Association entered into 17th day at Outdoor patients departments (OPDs) in all public sector hospitals of the Punjab province.

It is pertinent to mention that several Army doctors have started their working at OPDs of the Punjab hospitals where young doctors are on strike.

Talking to APP here on Monday, YDA spokesman Dr.Salman Kazmi said that five meetings between the health department and YDA, PMA office bearers were held which remained inconclusive.

He reiterated that their demands of service structure for doctors, other allowances and raise in stipends for both the house officers and postgraduate doctors should be announced.

Responding to question, he said despite crackdown by the Punjab Government, doctors would continue their struggle to achieve their rights.
