MANDI BAHUDDIN: Police in Mandi Bahauddin late Saturday night killed two suspected robbers while they were allegedly on the run after pulling a heist, Geo News reported.
According to police, a patrolling party challenged two suspicious men near Government College building, but instead of cooperating with the lawmen they opened fire at them drawing retaliation.
Outgunned and outnumbered the suspects succumbed to retaliatory fire.
Later, police authorities, in a statement said that snap investigation had revealed the suspects were proclaimed offenders. They were getting away with the loot after an armed robbery nearby when police encountered them, the statement added.
“ Giving them a signal to stop, cops tried to question their identity but they answered with gunshots, only then the law-enforcers fired back at the violent criminals, which killed the duo on the spot”, a police official said.
