KARACHI: The country is likely to face a severe heat wave in the next few days as warned by the meteorological department on Saturday, Geo News reported.

According to the met department, most parts of the country are already facing high temperatures while Punjab, northern Sindh and a few areas of Balochistan are going to be under the heat spell in the next three to four days.

On the other hand, Makran, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan will get light rain along with strong winds.

Moreover, the usual high temperatures are predicted in areas of Sindh including Jacobabad, Larkana, Dadu, Nawabshah and Sukkur.

Summer has compelled people to consume high amounts of beverages and ice.

On the other hand, people living in Balochistan and Punjab turn towards the pools and rivers to reduce the impact of heat.
