KARACHI: Police and Rangers conducted raids in different areas of the city and arrested five kidnappers while a man was also recovered who was kidnapped from Baldia Town, Geo News reported Friday.
According to sources, Rangers conducted a targeted search operation in Lyari areas and rescued a man named Sarfaraz who was kidnapped from Baldia Town a day earlier. During a raid, five criminals belonging to Lyari gang war were also arrested while arms were also recovered.
Shah Faisal Colony police also held a man named Sajid along with ammunition from Natha Khan area. Police claimed that the criminal admitted killing six people including four policemen.
Sajid will be presented before the media in a press conference, police told.
An alleged dacoit was killed by police in an encounter in Liaquatabad area while another managed to escape.
Police sources also told that a body was found in a gunny bag from Gulshan-e-Maymar area whose identity could not be ascertained. Another body bearing bullet wounds was found from Ramswami area of Garden.
