LAHORE: Former Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani said it was important for the assembly to complete its five year tenure, not for the prime minister.

Gilani was talking to media upon his arrival at the Lahore airport for the first time since disqualification. "My wish for Parliament's supremacy has been fulfilled,” Gilani said.

Gilani added that his dream of leaving the Prime Minister House gracefully turned into a reality.

Yusuf Raza Gilani was disqualified as the prime minister by the Supreme Court. The former prime minister was convicted by the apex court of contempt for failing to write a letter to Swiss authorities seeking to reopen corruption cases against President Asif Ali Zardari.

This is the ONE who disobeyed the Supreme court of pakistan and was found guilty and convicted .He clealy did not accept the rule of law and instead carried on sheilding Zardari.Every one knows that Zardari is the most corrupt person pakistan has ever produced since it's independence in 1947 and money in his swiss account is of pakistani nation.Mr. 10% is quite safe at least temporarily and credit goes to Haqani,Gillani,ANP,MQM,PML Qatil etc.

What parliament and what is its superiority? People of Pakistan despise him and his corrupt family. He has not left any method of corruption including drug trafficking. The time has come for him and his sons, daughter and wife to answer

I agree with Gillani. He didn't bow to the dictates of supreme court. May God make our parliament supreme irrespective of who is in government. Democracy is the only solution to our directionless nation. At least we are on the right path ... although too far from destination.

Way to go Gillani sb. I really respect you and wish you the best of luck in future. People and history will remember you as the PM who brought peace to he land in the midst of War on Terror and who got the 2.5 million IDPs rehabilitated in Swat and who restored the constitution and put a stop to the political victimization.
