Pesco launches drive against defaulters

PESHAWAR: Drive against illegal use of electricity and recovery of arrears from the defaulters was in full swing across the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

 

The CEO Pesco has directed the concerned officials to speed up the drive against illegal use of electricity, power pilferage and kunda culture so that the company's line losses could be controlled.

 

Implementing directives of the Chief Executive SDO Pesco, Badabair Sub-Division raided and checked different areas of Mera Masho Gagar, Mera Badbher, Afridi Road, Qaziabad, Badbher Kali and Main Kohat Road and seized hundreds of direct hooks.

 

As many as 30 FIRs were registered against those consumers involved in power pilferage in the respective Police Stations.

 

The SDO also met with elders and general public in the Hujras of Deputy Speaker Provincial Assembly Khushdil Khan and MPA Saqib Ullah Chamkani and appealed to the public to avoid power pilferage for the smooth supply of electricity and to avoid over loading of the system.

 

The officials of defaulted govt. departments were asked to deposit their outstanding dues up to 20th June 2012 positively.
