ISLAMABAD: Barrister Aitzaz Ahsan, the counsel for former PM Gilani, said he knew about the Supreme Court verdict that is why, was not present in the courtroom, Geo News reported.

PPI adds: Aitzaz said that he expected the apex court will issue a new order to the new prime minister to write letter to the Swiss authorities, however, he added that the decision whether or not to write the letter will be taken by the new prime minister.

Talking to media persons outside the Supreme Court (SC) premises on Wednesday‚ Aitzaz has said he knew about the Supreme Court verdict that is why he left the courtroom before the final judgment, adding that it was clear from the facial expression of the judges as to what was going to be announced in Speaker ruling case.

About the decision of the three member bench disqualifying Gilani as the Member of the National Assembly as well as the PM‚ he said that Gilani has accepted his disqualification. He said the court's order has been implemented.

However‚ he said we have reservations on the judgment, lamenting that the three member bench changed the earlier decisions of a seven-member bench, hence the verdict of three-member bench was in contrast to the early verdict of a larger bench.

He said he suggested to the government to file an appeal against the contempt conviction, but political leader decided not to appeal the conviction, however he added that the same verdict would have been delivered even if an appeal had been moved.

Moreover, Aitzaz said that Pakistan Peoples Party will elect the new PM after consultation.

Mr. D Atizaz May Allah bring the same disgrace to Asif Zardari through your hands. Continue defending criminals and earn disgrace for yourself / clients here and hereafter. "Daro Allah ki lathi say."

Aitazaz is a classic example of a person falling from grace to disgrace. He is now turning into a hardened criminal who commits crime and than defends it. Mr Aitazaz, you need to understand that people are neither naive nor confused. They clearly know that you are part of the criminal gang and they despise you from the core of their hearts. You may start preparation for the defence of the bigger corrupt, Zardari

Mr. Aitzaz Ahsan. You can read the body language and facial expressions of the SC judges. I would urge you to read also the body language and facial expressions of your ex admirers and fellow lawyers. They feel that you did not take a good decision by defending the current rulers. Though I am not a lawyer, yet could assess that your arguments did not carry weight and you were just prolonging the proceedings.

Ehtzaz ruined his good fame for sake of a corrupt PM which he gained during struggle of judiciary's freedom. No Pakistani likes to see his face now.

Aitzaz you knew and said all along that not writing a letter will mean disqualification. Why are making statement to justify your stance of fighting a case for Rup 100 plus a senate seat therefore just shut up as you have lost all creditability. Prepare your self to defend Zardari

A person who has really really fallen from grace in the whole episode is Aitzaz. And if he can read faces it is time for him to look into the mirror and be ashamed of himself.

The PM,being the Chief Executive, enjoyed more powers than anybody else. Did Aitzaz ever advise him to uphold the principle of rule of law(which would have earned him as much respect as the CJ) than to 'obey' the orders of the President(which led to earn him the title of shaheed-e-Zardari.
