Shahabuddin, Mukhtar may replace Gilani

ISLAMABAD: Makhdoom Shahabuddin and Chaudhry Ahmed Mukhtar are being considered to replace Yusuf Raza Gilani as the next prime minister. Gilani was earlier disqualified by the Supreme Court in the National Assembly Speakers ruling case.

 

The post SC verdict scenario will be discussed during the PPP Parliamentary meeting and the meeting of the coalition partners.

 

Makhdoom Shahbuddin is the MNA from Rahim Yar Khan and is currently the Federal Minister for Textiles. Chaudhry Ahmed Mukhtar was formerly the Defence Minister and currently holds the portfolio of Minister of Water and Power.

@Mirza: It is shame that PPP govt pardoned those who were punished by SC and let multiply what they were doing at the time of punishment. It is a shame that PPP govt prolonged and streched each case to the extent they could go (no one can imagine that). it is a shame that in PPP govt, every govt official has ammunity and is above the law.

It is a shame that the PCO SC took four years to determine about dual nationality and the Swiss cases. It took 7 judges and two verdicts to announce the decision. Yet it too another 3 judges to explain the decision. Ten judges and three tries by the SC to write a simple verdict. Hopefully now they would pay attention on the cases of public interest rotting for decades.

PPP will use people like Qaira, Badar etc etc but the Makhdooms , Syed's Bhutto's, Chaudary's will be the ruling elite. THE PPP has always used it's common people just the the communists, the rulers become richer the less worthy humans of PPP will do the dirty work.
