MARDAN: Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani on Saturday said although conspiracies were being hatched to undermine democracy, the Pakistan People's Party would not let anyone put it off the track, Geo News reported.

Addressing a public meeting in Mardan, the Premier said some elements also conspired to stop the Senate elections and the fifth budget but failed.

He said anti-PPP schemes began since it came to power while attempts had also been made to defeat PPP in the general elections.

He said that those who accused PPP-led government of giving no respect to institutions should not forget that while they enjoyed amnesty in Jeddah it was PPP that stood by the people of Pakistan.

Words cant express the utter disgust and loathing I have for this most corrupt and idotic PM that Pakistan ever had. His meaning for deomcracy is the right for him and his President to loot and pillage Pakistan. I hope that both of them meet the same fate as meeted out to Gaddiffi by his people.

Does Gilani seriously believe there is democracy where President is CEO and Gilani nothing more than a peon where Parliament is but in name? Pakistan was more democratic under Musharaf than under Zardari, media was free but curbed under so called democratic government. In Pakistan democracy was doomed to be a failure as it was artificially inseminated by US but entrusted in thugs, natural evolution would have improved lives of ordinary citizens instead of creating wealth for few in power.

Convicted PM is talking about democracy. Does democracy permits to reject SC verdict. Does democracy permits To plunder the wealth ofcountry. Does democracy allows to protect corrupt president. Does democracy allows to Reject SC order to write a letter to Swiss Authority. How long this convicted PM can go on misbehaving. His days are numbered so the days of partners.
