ISLAMABAD: Attorney General Irfan Qadir said Thursday that the Arsalan Iftikhar case may be sent to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB)

Speaking to reports, Qadir added that if the money was returned voluntarily then an investigation would not be held.

According to Qadir, in case of a plea bargain the investigation would stop.

The Supreme Court in its short order in the Arsalan Iftikhar suo moto case has directed the Attorney General to take strict action against Malik Riaz, Salam (Riaz’s son-in-law) and Arsalan Iftikhar.

Qadir is a shameless Attorney General of Pakistan who has sold his sole to be counted amongst thugs in power. He has brought disrepute to his office of Attorney General by his atrocious outburst being abusive in Court for the second time in not many days and should be exfoliated. It is time the Court stood up for itself by exercising its powers under the Constitution in the absence of politicians like Nawaz and Imran who have shown their unwillingness to challenge Zardari.

Malik Riaz and Arsalan are citizen of Pakistan and must be treated as such without and fear or favour. This case cannot go to NAB as no GOV money is involved in this. This is a corruption and money laundering case aganist two individuals regardless of their relations and status.

I completely agree with AG that Arsalan should be investigated by NAB and put under arrest. However, if people of pakistan are looking for fairness, then Arsalan should be treated like an ordinary citizen.
