SC takes suo moto of Riaz's presser

ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court has take suo moto notice of Malik Raiz’s news conference which was held by the business tycoon on Tuesday.

 

A three member bench headed by Justice Shakirullah Jan has been formed and will hear the suo moto case today (Wednesday). Justice Amir Hani Muslim and Justice Tariq Pervez are the other two members of the bench.

 

Earlier the Supreme Court Registrar was directed to summon the record of the news conference.

 

Malik Riaz had held a fiery news conference pertaining to the Arsalan Iftikhar case. It was during this news conference that Riaz had asked the Chief Justice to reveal details of meetings and also how long he (Chief Justice)had known about Arsalan Iftikhar’s alleged dealings.

Riaz had said that he was not scared of being called for contempt or sent to prison.

 

Meanwhile speaking to the media earlier, Riaz’s counsel Zahid Bukhari distanced himself from the news conference stating that this was Malik Riaz’s personnel complains.

 

A contempt of court petition filed by Advocate Ashraf Gujjar in regards to Malik Riaz’s news conference is also being heard by a three member bench.

Riaz should be charged for bribing. We should forgive CJ's son. I agree he has made billions and recently bought a 10 Million Euro Villa on French Riviera, but he has still stolen less than Malik Riaz and Zardari. Both of them are not in jail so should be Arsalan

It is shameful act of Malik Riaz, the way he attacked Chief Justice personality, he is known corrupt and dishonest person working for his bosses i.e. Zardari and Gillani tola to destroy this country. We need to unite and bring them to justice and support our brave and honest Chief Justice who is man of principal and hope for this country. This is the time all honest people of this country support Supreme court so that these tug and looters go behind the bars.

Malik Riaz was just holding the Quran. Riaz made all the money by swindling them. He did not spare even the soldiers who deposited their hard earned money with him and now running from pillar to post. How can a man who was unknown as a Biz tycoon travel in his personal plane.?? Cheat the people, swindle their money and make palace for himself. Even Saigols, Dawoods, Adamjees who are businessmen from generations cannot afford to have luxury like him. Riaz's son drives Ferrari.

In Islam the man who bribes and the one who accepts the bribe are equally shameless and guilty in fron of Allah. Therfore Mr Riaz Malick as you have admitted that you bribed Arsalan and he accepted your bribes then both of you are guilty. However it is interesting to note that Arsalan did not give you what you wanted. Therefore why did you keep on bribing him? Were you setting him up for this to get to his father? Do you know entrapment is a crime?

Guys, all you need to look at is the phrase that says "a man is known by the company he keeps". We all know whose is in connivance with him and he is dancing to the tunes of whom. All this is about getting the Chief Justice under pressure to get relief. Those who matter should be watching this closely and they should have learnt by now, what the state of the country would be if these democrats continue to stay in the saddle.
