KARACHI: Unknown gunmen on Tuesday shot dead one of the brothers of MQM’s ex MPA Shakir Ali at scrap market in Shershah area, Geo News reported.
According to police, unidentified attackers opened fire on Qarar Ali and Zakir Ali, brothers of former MPA Shakir Ali. Both the brothers were severely wounded and rushed to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
According to the medico-legal officer, Qarar Ali had died before reaching the hospital while Zakir Ali is in critical condition.
After the incident, tension gripped different areas including Shershah, Jahanabad, Pak Colony, Site and Nazimabad while shops were also closed.
