A two-member bench is hearing the Arsalan suo moto case.

Real estate tycoon, arrived at the SC building today to appear before the court for the first time since the matter flared up earlier this month.

Documents presented as witness in the SC showed that Dr Arsalan's first visit in 2010 cost Rs8, 860,579. Rs2,284,829 for tickets and tours to Monte Carlo and Rs6,575,750 for car and flat rental fees and shopping.

Second tour that took place in 2011 cost Rs692,949 on account of hotel expenses. All the visits were made to London.

Another tour in 2010 cost Rs5,947,726. Rs3,433,136 were spent on cash, vehicle lease and hotel while Rs2,514,590 were paid for apartment rented.

Rs327,000,000 were also paid to him on various accounts in the form of cash, the statement said.

In his affidavit, Riaz reiterated that he was being "blackmailed" by Arsalan and was forced into going public. He declined any involvement of any political party or the Army in the entire case.

Malik Riaz also challenged the suo moto notice taken by the chief justice. 'That the Suo Moto action taken by the Honorable Chief Justice of Pakistan is not legal. No question of enforcement of any fundamental rights has arisen.'

'That constitution of Bench is always an administrative action and the formation of a new bench was essential after the quittal of Honorable Chief Justice of Pakistan from a bench of 3 Honorable Judges, thereafter, the same matter cannot be heard and disposed off by a Bench consisting less than 3 Honorable Judges.'

About how the contacts between Dr Arsalan and his family developed, Malik Riaz said: "That Ahmed Khalil is a friend of Dr Arsalan. Salman Ahmed Khan, my son-in-law is also a friend of Ahmed Khalil, who introduced Dr Arsalan Iftikhar with Salman Ahmed and from there relations between the two developed".

The real estate magnate also blamed the CJ's son for blackmailing his son-in-law and extorting money.

Fie and Shame on Arsalan Iftikhar, who instead of magnifying enviable image and prestige of his father (the only really rare CJP of Pakistan) repeatedly heaped mountains of filth ! CJP must ensure Maximum Punishment to Arsalan and refund of entire money he received in his name from Malik Riaz, which alone will restore his own and the Superior Judiciary's image in the eyes of 180 million Pakistanis, who are being ruled by a convicted PM namely Gilani.

Malik Riaz is corrupt does not automatically proves that Arsalan is innocent. Chief Justice can see each and every regularity in Pakistan except what is happening under his nose and in his home where Arsalan was living. I find it hard to digest.

Chief justice son may be involved in the graft case but as far as the integrity of Chief Hustice is concerned he is a right man. Malik riaz made his real estate empire through unfair means. How an ordinary clerk of Military engineering services can become a real estate tycoon within few years. everyone knows anbout the 62 billion rupees scam so why supporting Malik Riaz?

Malik Riaz's claim that he was working on Asif Zardari's advise not to leak out this info sometime ago is hoax. They both are biggest corrupters in Pakistan's history and are faces of same coin. Malik will not spend a dime without seeing a benefit. He frames people to make tons of money. Behold! all anti-Pakistan forces are dead enenmies of the CJ (PML_Q, MQM, Musharaf, PPP(Zardari), etc.) so they will love to malign our beloved CJ into this so don't be fooled. Insha Allah CJ will survive.

It is between Mr Riaz and one Mr Arsalan who happens to be a son of Mr Iftikhar Chaudhary who happens to be the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Pakistan. I find no moral ground to involve father. Mr. Riaz is adult and "jumped" Billionaire in a short period. Keeping in view the Pakistani society it is easy to conclude how honest is Mr. Riaz. He was batting on a wrong horse so why cry?

This is really a very interesting case! No one is perfect, but CJ of Pakistan is not in this game that's for sure, no matter how one would sets him in, he will be coming out safe though!! rest Allah knows the truth..

Shouldn't Malik Riaz be convicted also for bribing a Government Official namely Chief Justice of Pakistan?
