ISLAMABAD: National Highways & Motorway Police has recovered five stolen cars and arrested one car lifter. According to the issued press release, Faislabad Police informed NH&MP that a black Honda Civic Car No. FSJ-8393 model 2007 has been stolen from Milat Town, Faisalabad and requested for help to recover the said car.
On receiving this information Motorway Police got alert all its patrolling vehicles. After few minutes the NH&MP briefing officer SPO Rana Irfan signal to stop a specious car No LEG-7676 on Motorway (M-3) at Deputywala interchange entry point.
The driver could not give any satisfactory answer and during search of the car the officers found a number on which owner of the car Rizwan Iftikhar told that it is his car and the same was stolen from Miltat Town, so the Motorway Police officers arrested the culprit Kamran s/o Fafiq r/o Faislabad and took the car into their custody.
In 2nd incident, a Tracker Company from Lahore informed NH&MP Officers that a black colour Corolla Car No. LE-5674, Model 2010 has been stolen from Johar Town, Lahore and requested for help to recover the said car. On receiving this information Motorway Police got alerted all its patrolling vehicles, on Motorway (M-1) in the area of Rashakai NH&MP officers SPO Inamullah and APO Alamzeb saw the said car, which was parked on the hard shoulder of Motorway and no one was present there. NH&MP officers took the car into their custody and informed the owner of the car about recovery of the car.
In 3rd incident, last night, during routine patrolling on Motorway (M-3) near Bhalwal NH&MP officers SPO Ahsan Ali and SPO Murid Hussain Bloch singled to stop a white colour Corolla Saloon Car No. LZZ-1918, Model 2007, due to breakage of back light, but instead to stop, they tried to fled away.
The NH&MP officers immediately rushed towards them but the culprits stopped it at some distance and fled away by taking the advantage of the darkness of night. NH&MP offices took the car into their custody, during search it reveled that it is a stolen car.
In 4th incident NH&MP officers PO Ghulam Nabi and PO Irfanullah were checking the speed of the vehicles on Motorway (M-1) in the area of Rashakai, when they signaled to stop a Corolla GLI Car No. LEA-8595 due to over speed, but the culprits instead to stop, tried to fled away. The NH&MP offices immediately informed the next patrolling vehicles, they tried to stop the car but the culprit stopped the car at some distance and fled away. The NH&MP officers took the car into their custody and during investigation it reveled that the culprits stole the said car and they installed the fake No.
In 5th incident, during routine patrolling on GT road in the area of Chechawatni, NH&MP Officers SPO Saleem Tabsum and SPO Maqsood saw a silver colour Suzuki Mehran Car No. LRP-735, which was parked on the hard shoulder of the road and no one, was present there. NH&MP officers took the car into their custody, during search, it reveled that three unknown culprits took the said car on rent from Harrapa and they throw the driver somewhere and fled away. The culprits installed the fake No. LWR-738 on the said car, later on, the Motorway Police handed over the arrested Culprits along-with the recovered vehicles in the presence of the owners of the vehicles to the concerned Local Police for further legal action.
