Nursing staff in KP threatens agitation

MANSEHRA: The Nursing Staff Association has announced a series of agitation if Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf-led provincial government doesn't accept their demands of restructuring services and upgrading their pay scales on completion of 10 years in the profession.

"We have been struggling for various demands since this government came into power but now we would come onto streets for our rights," Nabila Khan, the district president of the association told a news conference here on Sunday.

He said that the government had announced to promote all nursing staff from basic bay scale 16 to 17, restructure of services, and health professional allowance of Rs38,000 per month but all those demands were not met as yet. She said that health professional allowance of Rs10,000 was being given to them and remaining Rs26,000 was yet be incorporated in their salaries.
