HYDERABAD: As many as 81,601 candidates will appear in higher secondary part I and II (first-year and intermediate) exams starting from May 7.
The Chairman of Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Abdul Aleem Khanzada informed at a press conference here on Sunday that 124 examination centers have been set up in the 9 districts which are under jurisdiction of the board.
"We have declared 20 centers as sensitive where police will be deployed and the rangers patrol these centers," he added.
He said that the district administrations of the respective districts will enforce section 144 against opening of the bookshops and Photostat shops during the time of examination and against the presence of unconcerned people at or around the centers.
There would also be a ban on taking mobile phones to the centers, he added.
According to him, 20 vigilance teams and a special monitoring committee of Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah would carry out spot checks at the centers.
Controller Examinations Wasee Raza Afridi, Deputy controller exams Dr Masroor Zai and other officers of the BISE, Hyderabad, were also present on the occasion. (APP)
