MINGORA: The officials of the Food Security and Halal Food Authority on Thursday launched a crackdown against the sale of unhygienic food items in the Swat district.
The officials conducted raids at various markets in Mingora bazaar and inspected numerous food items in the shops.
Speaking on the occasion, they said several shops had been checked. Some of them were fined for selling unhygienic food items while others warned, they added.
