HONG KONG: A 6.2-magnitude earthquake struck the Papua region of Indonesia on Wednesday, meteorologists said, but there was no tsunami warning.

 

The quake struck at 2:56 am (1756 GMT) at a depth of 66.9 kilometres (42.6 miles), some 154 kilometres south southwest of Irian Jaya, the US Geological Survey said. (AFP)
