KARACHI: Delegations of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and Jamaat-e-Islami separately called on Director General Pakistan Rangers (Sindh) Major General Bilal Akbar here on Thursday.
The Rangers spokesman said that matters pertaining to the ongoing operation against criminals in Karachi and security arrangements for the Local Bodies elections in Sindh were discussed in the meetings.
The representatives of both parties expressed the resolve to support the measures for maintaining peace in Karachi with mutual cooperation.
Meanwhile, Home Minister Sindh Sohail Anwar Siyal also called on the DG Rangers and discussed with him matters related to law and order and security arrangements for the second and third phase of the Local Bodies elections.
