Blast in Peshawar kills 13, injures 38

PESHAWAR: A remote controlled car bomb exploded near the Kohat bus depot on Thursday, killing at least 13 people including two children and injuring 38 others.

 

Almost 15 cars were also badly damaged in the blast.

 

Following the blast, security forces cordoned off the area while the injured people were rushed to Lady Reading Hospital where emergency has been imposed. The condition of five injured persons is critical.

 

According to the police 45 kilograms of explosives were used in the bomb.

 

Meanwhile, President Asif Ali Zardari strongly condemned the bomb blast at a bus stand in Peshawar that killed several people and injured many others.

 

The president in a message said the government was determined to eradicate extremism and terrorism in all its forms and manifestations and would not be deterred by such attacks on innocent civilians.

 

Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani also strongly condemned the incident and directed the concerned authorities to ensure best medical treatment for the injured people.

When these ppl will be held responsible for their criminal activites. The Problem is as a society we think no body can stop them. We never see that some body caught and even media give attention to the person ,why he wanted to killed annocent ppl. I am afraid media not playing their role. These ppl are not human and should be expose. This thing should be finish now. Person who killed ppl say (badkismat ta bechara).
