Lease, propriety rights to 1,417 goths

KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister, Syed Qaim Ali Shah, on Sunday announced the initiation of grant of propriety rights to 1,417 goths.

 

He made the announcement to this effect while handing over lease documents to Karachi's old goths in Pipri- Bin Qasim, District Malir.

 

Addressing a big public meeting, he said that the founder of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto had promised to give `Roti, Kapra aur Makan' to the people.

 

Qaim Ali Shah said in accordance with the same, today "we are initiating grant of lease and propriety rights to 1,417 goths."

 

He pointed out that there were some difficulties in the grant of propriety rights to dwellers of goths and katchi abadis and that the

task was not easy.

 

However, the PPP government has fulfilled this promise, he said adding that no government had granted lease to such a large number of goths and that the credit for this also goes to the PPP, the Chief

Minister added.

 

He also announced giving 17,000 plots to poor and deserving homeless people.

 

Qaim Ali Shah said that the present PPP Government has given jobs to 70,000 unemployed youths and that more such people would also be provided with employment opportunities.

 

He pointed out that the PPP government has distributed 25 acres land each to female haris as well as seeds and fertilisers.

 

Chief Minister said that flood and rain affectees have been given

financial assistance of Rs 20,000 per each family through Pakistan Card.

 

He announced that measures are being taken on priority basis for the progress and development of backward areas in the province.

 

President of PPP Karachi, Senator Faisal Raza Abidi, said that the promise for grants of lease and propriety rights to dwellers of

goth and Katchi Abadis was made two months ago.

"This very promise is being fulfilled today" he further pointed out and added that millions of people would benefit from this.

 

Faisal said that the remaining goths would be given the lease in the next three months.

 

He stated that President Asif Ali Zardari has directed that the remaining goths be given lease in three months time and that we will

ensure this.

 

Faisal said that the President has also directed provision of gas to goths of Malir, Gadap and Bin Qasim.

 

Jam Mehtab Dahar, Mir Ismail Brohi, Umar Jat, Sajid Jokhio, Haji Muzaffar Shujra and Khawaja Muhammad Awan also spoke on the occasion.

 

Special Assistants to CM Rashid Hussain Rabbani, Waqar Medhi, Siddiq Abu Bhai, Commissioner Karachi, Roshan Shaikh, Senior Member Board of Revenue were also present on the occasion.

You old man, how come you have awakened after four (4) years & announced lease & property rights to 1,417 goths. Also reminded big public that PPP Shaheed ZAB & Shaheed BB had promised to give Roti, Kapra aur Makan to the people, which never given. Lets see how much Votes PPP would get in coming Election? Also announced giving 17,000 plots to poor & deserving homeless people, which would be given if PPP come to Power during next Election!

This is just a drop in occasion. Take agriculture and fertile land which is thousand of acres each being occupied by big shots should also be snatched from them and given to haris to make a meaningful contribution otherwise it is just a deception and nothing else which is trade mark of PPP
