PCB dismisses Amir’s claim

LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has dismissed the claim by Mohammed Amir that he was not provided information regarding anti-corruption, Geo News reported.

 

According to the PCB, Amir had signed a central contract on March 2010 which contained articles pertaining to anti-corruption.

 

An Urdu version of the anti-corruption code was also provided to players. Amir was also lectured on anti-corruption during the under-19 world cup.

 

Following his sentencing Mohammed Amir while speaking to Geo News had said that he was not provided information pertaining to anti-corruption by the PCB.

It is not just about providing information to the players but to actually explain to them and mentor them while they are abroad. PCB is guilty of gross neglect... they accompany the team at extreme costs and then fail to discharge their duties... PCB has a lot to answer. Public should demand an enquiry and have the PCB officials fined and put away.
