ISLAMABAD: In a major development in the ongoing conspiracies against the Constitution and the democratic system, Ghulam Nizamuddin Sialvi, an important member of the biggest and most influential spiritual seat in Pakistan, Sial Sharif, has disclosed that some powers were behind recent sit-ins to dislodge the democratic government and that the conspiracies are still continuing.

In an interview with a private TV channel, Nizamuddin Sialvi said that during a recent Lahore protest, he was offered money to stage a sit-in as mere rallies were not fulfilling the real objective.

Nizamuddin Sialvi spilled the beans on Tuesday, and disclosed that in fact some powers, using religion as a tool, were behind these protests. Nizamuddin, also a member of the Punjab provincial assembly, stated that the religious issue of ‘Khatam-e- Nabuwat (SAW)’ was used for political gains, though a clear statement by Rana Sanaullah should have settled the issue.

Nizamuddin revealed that those powers wanted to use Pir of Sial Sharif, Pir Hameedud Din Sialvi, to achieve their ulterior motives against the government. Nizamuddin said some religious and political parties also wanted to use the issue for politics.

It is important to mention that PTI chief Imran Khan did his best to have political gains through these protests and sit-ins, and tried to fuel hatred in the name of a change in a clause which was, in fact, passed by parliamentary committees with the support of legislators of his own Party. But, Imran stated wrong facts before people completely avoiding to discuss the key role played by MNAs and Senators belonging to PTI.

Nizamuddin revealed that he and others were forced to stage a sit-in by using the religious card merely for political gains. He said that all limits were crossed when individuals were forced to carry out such protests and other activities through intimidation and coercion.

Nizamuddin Siyalvi, in his interview, stated that he called upon the Pir Sahib of Sial Sharif to not to fall in the trap and the seat of Sial Sharif should not be allowed to be capitalized upon by the vested interests.

Nizamuddin said that when he was offered money to stage sit-in while he was present on the stage of a recent Lahore protest, he simply asked the caller to court support from someone else sit-in was not part of his plan.

Khawaja Qamar ud Din Sialvi of Sial Sharif was one of the staunch supporters of the Pakistan Movement and played an important role throughout the struggle for Pakistan at a time when majority of religious leaders were toeing the Congress line. Khawaja Qamar ud Din Siyalvi was founder of religio-political party Jamiat Ulema Pakistan.

Punjab chief minister Shehbaz Sharif recently visited Sial Sharif and met Pir of Siyal Sharif to clarify the situation regarding a misunderstood statement of Rana Sanaullah and some other issues.

PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif repeatedly talks about conspiracies and has always termed the sit-ins to discredit democracy and the parliament. Many senior politicians share his view.
