SIALKOT: Cricket legend-turned-politician and chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan on Monday said he will not leave the nation alone, vowing to ‘fight the criminals till the last delivery’.

Speaking at a public rally held in connection with the upcoming third and final phase of Local Government elections in Sindh and Punjab, he said his party will make Pakistan a great country with the people’s support.

Criticizing the political opponents, Khan said corrupt were ruling over the masses as the existing system in the country hinders merit to prevail.

Taking a jibe at ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), he said people call Sialkot N-League’s city and challenged the former to gather as many people as present in his rally without the help of Patwaris (government officials who keep records regarding the ownership of land).

Participants of the rally marched through Jinnah House, Allama Iqbal Chowk, Rangpura Chowk and Nikapura to Alam Chowk after the procession was emerged from Gondal Road earlier in the day.

On the other hand, the DCO declared the PTI chief’s speech and the rally a violation of election rules and wrote a letter to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) in this regard.
