LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman, Sheheryar Khan on Thursday said no decision in writing has been received from the government in connection with Pakistan cricket team playing a limited-over series against India at a neutral venue.

Talking to media persons, the PCB Chief said he has been in government service for the past 37 years, saying he would only be in a position to say something after he gets a decision from the Prime Minister.

In this regard, he hoped to receive directives from Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in the next couple of days.

He said whether the cricket series is held in Sri Lanka, Bangladesh or UAE, security assurance will be obtained prior to making any decision.

Sheheryar Khan regretted that major cricket teams like Australia, England and others are also not undertaking Pakistan tours. However, he added that England Cricket Board chairman Giles Clarke will visit Pakistan in the first week of January.
