LAHORE: Former captains Wasim Akram and Ramiz Raja have officially signed contracts with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to act as brand ambassadors of the Pakistan T20 Super League (PSL) for the next three years.

Addressing the media on Thursday, the PSL brand ambassadors said they are confident the league would be able to compete with other top leagues around the world within a few years.

The two players were sharing their views officially for the first time at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, sitting along with PSL chief Najam Sethi.

Wasim said that PSL can in no way compete right now with IPL but once the league starts it will gradually pick up pace and rope in bigger players as well.

Ramiz added that the PSL is not just a T20 tournament for the players but in fact it will be an exceptional opportunity for learning for all the young players.
