LAHORE: The Supreme Court Lahore Registry on Friday dismissed the bail petitions filed by two accused in the Kot Radha Kishan incident, where a mob set a Christian couple on fire in a brick kiln.

The two accused, Nisar and Akram had appealed to the court seeking bail. Hearing the case, Justice Ijaz Ahmed Chaudhry said that the JIT report has confirmed the two accused were involved in inciting violence and causing destruction.

The two accused should have instead made efforts to save the Christian couple which was their duty, but instead they were inciting others to violence.

The Judge expressed his displeasure over the Lahore High Courts admission of the bail pleas, the judge added that certain court-judgments are fault not be used as examples to seek relief.
