LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has given yet another call for a protest in Islamabad, asking his workers to reach the federal capital on October 4.

One year on from his long march on Islamabad, Khan on Saturday, while speaking at a party gathering following a meeting here, asked PTI workers to reach outside the office of Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).

He warned the four provincial election commissioners to resign before he announces his next course of action on October 4.

The PTI chief said the four members of the electoral body would face jail term if an inquiry was held into allegations, which he has been spouting since the 2013 General Election.

Khan said his party would contest the upcoming by-polls and local bodies election during which he said cameras would be installed inside the polling stations.

Expressing his wish to compete with Prime Minister Nawaz Shairf in NA-122 by-poll, he said he won’t dare 'Mian Sb' for election contest because the prime minister doesn’t take up his challenges.

Later he announced that Jehangir Tareen will contest the NA-154 by-poll in Lodhran, adding that Shoaib Siddiqui will be fielded for Lahore's PP-147 provincial constituency and Aleem Khan for NA-122 against Sardar Ayaz Sadiq.

Responding to Imran Kahn’s speech, Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid said the PTI chairman must take into account his own position before asking for a challenge.

He said Imran Khan was in the state of bewilderment since the ruling party announced to hold by-elections.

The minister said: “Imran Khan must install cameras so that he can figure out people don’t caste vote in his favour”.

He said the nation has come to know about 'Imran Khan’s condition' during the last three years.
