Gilgit: Non-bailable arrest warrants issued for Altaf Hussain

GILGIT: An Anti-Terrorism Court has issued non-bailable arrest warrants for Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain in connection with a case over his statement against security institutions.

GILGIT: An Anti-Terrorism Court has issued non-bailable arrest warrants for Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain in connection with a case over his statement against security institutions.

An ATC judge Raja Shahbaz Khan heard the case and ordered formation of Joint Investigation Team for the arrest of Altaf Hussain. He directed that the team be sent to MQM Headquarters for MQM chief’s arrest.

Three cases had been registered in Gilgit under Anti Terrorism Act against Altaf Hussain for his statement against Pak Army. Two cases were lodged in Ghazar, two in Skardu and one in Ghanche.

Meanwhile, a case against Altaf Hussain was also registered in Thana Kandial. The case was lodged on behalf of a citizen named Hakim Muhammad Aslam.

So far 100 cases have been lodged against the MQM Chief across Pakistan.
