Amjad Sabri to move Indian court over ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ Qawwali

KARACHI: Pakistan's famous Qawwal Amjad Sabri on Tuesday said he is set to approach an Indian court for the inclusion of his father's Qawwali in Bollywood movie ‘Bajrangi Bhaijan’ without his permission.

KARACHI: Pakistan's famous Qawwal Amjad Sabri on Tuesday said he is set to approach an Indian court for the inclusion of his father's Qawwali in Bollywood movie ‘Bajrangi Bhaijan’ without his permission.

Talking to newsmen, Amjad Sabri said his father's famous Qawwali ‘Bhar Do Jholi’ was incorporated in Salman Khan's new movie ‘Bajrangi Bhaijan’ without his consent.

He said he has submitted an application seeking Indian visa and would soon visit the neighboring country to have a legal action initiated.

The producer of ‘Bajrangi Bhaijan’ was also served a legal notice by Amjab Sabri.

‘Bajrangi Bhaijan’, that has made Rs1 billion in just three days of its release, features a Qawwali of late Ghulam Farid Sabri. According to the legendary Qawwal’s son, Amjad Sabri, the Qawwali was included in the movie without his permission.
