Pakistan fighting anti-terror war for global peace: Nawaz Sharif

UFA: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Thursday said that Pakistan is fighting the war against terrorism not only for regional stability but for peace all across the world.

Addressing the participants of BRICS Summit Russia Ufa 2015, Nawaz Sharif stressed that all states will have to join hands to achieve the goal of peace and progress in the region.

UFA: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Thursday said that Pakistan is fighting the war against terrorism not only for regional stability but for peace all across the world.

Addressing the participants of BRICS Summit Russia Ufa 2015, Nawaz Sharif stressed that all states will have to join hands to achieve the goal of peace and progress in the region.

He said Pakistan had to pay a hefty price for fighting the terror war. However, he added that the loss of life and property will not deter Pakistan from taking this war to its logical end.

Sharing his government’s vision for Pakistan’s long-term development, the premier said it is indispensable to lay a network of roads and highways to provide enabling environment for promoting business and trade.

He said Pakistan’s index of progress is moving fast on an upward trajectory and that the country aims at laying the foundation of its infrastructure on a solid base by 2025.

The Prime Minister said the project of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor is progressing ahead with success.

He said Pakistan will also be hosting meeting of BRICS committees in future.

PM Nawaz briefly meets Indian counterpart Modi

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif shook hands with his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi and exchanged pleasantries.

Both the leaders are scheduled to hold a meeting on Friday.
