OSLO: Pakistan’s Nobel Laureate Malala Yousafzai said education is the fundamental right of every child.

Speaking at the Olso Education Summit in Norway, the 17-year-old urged world leaders to make a firm commitment to the promotion of education.

The education activists said books were the best investment for our future. She added that children should be provided 12 years of free education. Malala was also critical of the decision to spend more on guns than on education.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was also present during Malala’s address.
