FO summons Afghan Ambassador to protest against recent incidents

ISLAMABAD: The Foreign Office on Friday summoned the Ambassador of Afghanistan to protest against the detention of two officers of the Pakistani Consulate in Kandahar.

According to the Foreign Office spokesman the two Pakistani officials were detained forcefully. He added that the two were released last night after efforts of the Pakistani Embassy.

ISLAMABAD: The Foreign Office on Friday summoned the Ambassador of Afghanistan to protest against the detention of two officers of the Pakistani Consulate in Kandahar.

According to the Foreign Office spokesman the two Pakistani officials were detained forcefully. He added that the two were released last night after efforts of the Pakistani Embassy.

A protest was also lodged with the Afghan Ambassador over the firing incident in Angoor Adda. Two Pakistani Army personnel were injured in the incident.

The Afghan Ambassador was also handed demarche by the Foreign Office.
