KARACHI: Residence of a business partner of one of the country’s ‘authoritative figures’ was raided without any arrests in the city’s upscale Clifton neighbourhood in the early hours of Friday.

Sources told Geo News that no one was arrested by the security agency as the wanted person was not at home at the time of the raid, which continued for 30 minutes.

Identity of the wanted person is not yet revealed. However, he is said to be the right-hand man of one of the country’s authoritative figures and is a key businessman of Sindh, recognised by his sugar mills.

Law Enforcement Agencies, earlier on Thursday, had also achieved a major development in fisheries corruption scandal and arrested Watch and Ward in-charge, Zulfiqar Chief from West Harbor.

Sources said the accused was fleeing in the ambulance of Fishermen Cooperative Society when he was nabbed by the LEAs.

Zulfiqar Chief is said to be close aide of Qamar Sultan Siddiqui, the Vice Chairman of the Fishermen's Cooperative Society (FCS), and a recovery master. Zulfiqar was tasked for recovery from the vehicles, carrying fish from Balochistan.
