Protest outside Landhi police station against arrest of citizen

KARACHI: Infuriated residents held a protest demonstration outside Landhi police station against the arrest of a man from Ajmeer Nagri area.

According to the protesting people, police arrested Fayyaz three days back from Ajmeer Nagri. At the time of detention, his family was assured that he will be released after interrogation, however, Fayyaz was yet to be freed.

Following the protest by local people, SSP Korangi Junaid Ahmed Shaikh suspended SHO Landhi Saadat Butt.

Acting SHO, Ahmed Butt, on the complaint of the father of Fayyaz, has registered kidnapping for ransom case against Saadat Butt and other police personnel.

The residents also demanded to suspend SP Landhi Afnan Amin.
