PTI minister Gandapur remanded in police custody

DI KHAN: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and Provincial Minister for Finance, Ali Ameen Gandapur was presented in the court of Judicial Magistrate First Khalid Mansoor here on Tuesday.

In one of the cases the judicial magistrate handed over Gandapur to the police on physical remand for one day. In the second case the minister was granted bail.

Ali Ameen Gandapur is charged with taking possession of ballot boxes during the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa local body elections and drawing a weapon on a policeman.

Ali Ameen Gandapur expressed hope that he would be granted bail in the second case as well.

The provincial minister had surrendered to the police at his residence on Monday night.
