HYDERABAD: Member Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Coordination Committee, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui on Sunday said his party was going to launch protests from June 5 over the problems being faced by Hyderabad.

Addressing a press conference here in Latifabad, Khalid Maqbool said the temperature has hit 47 degrees in Hyderabad and yet there is no water or electricity for the citizens.

“The rulers should either declare the city ‘Karbala’ or announce that Hyderabad is not a part of Pakistan,” he regretted.

He said funds are being allocated for cities following the 18th amendment of the constitution but they are not being used for urban areas of Sindh.

Khalid Maqbool said when the power of votes fail to resolve issues then in that situation ‘road power’ becomes the only option to get one’s legitimate rights.
