ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Pervez Rashid said Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) accepts the decision of the tribunal of ordering re-election in Lahore's NA-125 constituency.

“However, we do have our reservations in connection with this decision,” Rashid said at a press conference, hours after the issuance of judgment by the Election Tribunal Faisalabad.

The information minister said PML-N will decide whether or not to challenge the tribunal’s verdict in the Supreme Court.

Khawaja Saad Rafique of PML-N had been declared the winner in NA-125 after the 2013 general elections. The result was later challenged by his contender Hamid Khan of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

Later, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman, Imran Khan said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif may become ‘a stranger in the house’.

Khan demanded that the Returning Officers and Polling Officers be summoned by the Judicial Commission probing the rigging allegations and be interrogated as to whose orders they had to follow ‘to carry out rigging in NA-125’.
