ISLAMABAD: Admitting his mistake of terming attendees of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain’s rallies as “living corpses”, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Monday said he regrets using the term in anger.

Speaking during an exclusive interview to Geo News, he said he was infuriated over a statement by Altaf Hussain when issued the zinda lashain (living corpses) statement.

Khan also admitted addressing Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif with “oye”. However, he never used abusive language against the premier, he added.

The PTI chief, during the interview in “Capital Talk” today, also vowed to abide by the verdict of judicial commission formed to probe rigging allegations during the 2013 general elections. He said his party would not protest even if the verdict was against them.

Criticizing the PML-N government, Khan said despite the Parliament’s resolution of remaining ‘neutral’ in the Yemen conflict, the body language of the government was telling a different story.
