KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief, Altaf Hussain has once again called for formation of a new province out of Sindh and proposed ‘Karachi’, ‘Urban Sindh’, Sindh 1’ and ‘Sindh 2, as its name.

Addressing the members of Rabitta Committee Pakistan and London, office bearers and workers here at MQM Headauarters, Altaf Hussain said demand for a new province is not being made by MQM rather it is the wish of the people residing in Urban parts of Sindh province.

“People have declared it necessary with one voice to have new a province in Sindh,” the MQM Chief said, adding ‘the unanimity of public opinion demonstrates that a new province has become our fate’.

He alleged that the consecutive governments of Sindh had been ignoring a section of population of Urban Sindh for the past 67 years and subjecting them to discrimination. “These prejudices have united the people of Urban Sindh in raising the voice for having a separate province for the Haq Parast people,” he added.

Be it Haq Parast Sindhi or Baloch; a Punjabi living in Sindh on permanent basis or a Pakhtun, Hazarewal, Siraiki, Gulgiti or Kashmiri; the demand for a separate province has become a most cherished demand for them.
