ISLAMABAD: Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Khusheed Shah addressed the joint-session of Parliament and told Chinese President Xi Jinping that it was a great honour for Pakistan to host him.

Shah said it was his strong belief that the Chinese President’s visit would further strengthen bilateral ties and contribute to development of both nations. “Since establishment of Pak-China diplomatic relationship both countries have obtained many milestones,” Shah said.

Shah added that former Prime Minister Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto laid the foundations for relations with China and made this an integral part of Pakistan’s policy. He further said Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto’s legacy was continued by Benazir Bhutto.

The opposition leader expressed hope that Pakistan, China friendship would continue to grown ending his address with ‘Pak-China friendship Zindabad’.
