DHAKA: Following their first One-Day International defeat against Bangladesh in 16 years, Pakistan suffered yet another blow on their tour as paceman Ehsan Adil was declared unfit and ruled out of the ODI series.

Sources in the team management said Adil’s tour chances of playing the rest of the series were cut short by a hamstring injury on Saturday.

This was the fourth such injury setback for the touring team in the past two weeks.

Earlier, left-arm spinner Zulfiqar Babar replaced leg-spinner Yasir Shah who suffered a thumb wound.

Two other World Cup squad members, Sohaib Maqsood and Sohail Khan, were earlier also ruled out of the tour with injuries.

Pakistan play three one-day internationals, a solitary Twenty20 game and two Tests on the month-long tour of Bangladesh.

The Tigers beat Pakistan by by 79 runs in first ODI – their second win over their rivals in 48 games across all three formats.

The second and third one-dayers will also be held at the Sher-e-Bangla stadium on April 19 and 22.
