KARACHI: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) candidate for the upcoming NA-246 by-election, Imran Ismael claimed on Friday that rivals Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) was setting up ‘ghost polling stations’ to rig the April 23 by-poll.

Speaking to the media after offering Friday prayers at a local mosque in Azizabad, he also expressed his reservations over printing of ballot papers in Karachi.

Ismael said that ballot papers were being printed in a printing press where MQM activists also work, a practice not associated to democratic norms according to him.

Meanwhile, MQM’s candidate Kanwar Naveed Jamil said his party has been winning the NA-246 seat for the last 28 years and will repeat the history on April 23.

He said after casting doubts on the federal government and the judiciary, PTI Chairman Imran khan was now suspicious of the state printing press in Karachi.
