COAS warns foreign states, agencies supporting terrorists in Balochistan

QUETTA: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif on Wednesday vowed to support the Balochistan government in eliminating terrorists.

The COAS visited the Southern Command Headquarters as well as the Frontier Corps Headquarters in Quetta today, according to the ISPR.

General Sharif reviewed the security situation in the province and the progress of the FC operation against terrorists.

QUETTA: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif on Wednesday vowed to support the Balochistan government in eliminating terrorists.

The COAS visited the Southern Command Headquarters as well as the Frontier Corps Headquarters in Quetta today, according to the ISPR.

General Sharif reviewed the security situation in the province and the progress of the FC operation against terrorists.

He also held meetings with Governor Balochistan, Chief Minister Balochistan and Commander Southern Command.

The COAS warned foreign states and international agencies against trying to destabilise Pakistan by supporting terrorists in Balochistan.

He expressed grief on the brutal killing of poor and innocent labourers by the terrorists in Turbat, adding that the Pakistan Army will go to any length for writ of the state.

He said we will unearth terrorists, their abettors, sympathisers and financers and that none of them will find any place in the country to hide.

General Sharif emphasised the need to adopt integrated approach by civil and military leadership, and law enforcement agencies for a peaceful Balochistan.

He also commended LEAs and FC for noticeable law and order improvement and vowed to stand by the people of the province to bring peace and prosperity.

He said that Frontier Works Organisation will continue working on development projects.

Later today, the COAS called on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in Islamabad and discussed matters related to Balochistan.
