LAHORE: Adviser to Prime Minister (PM) for Aviation Shujaat Azeem on Saturday decided to take legal action against the ARY in UK for what he said leveling baseless and grave allegations against him.
According to details, Shujaat Azeem had served a legal notice to the chief operating officer of ARY in UK and Euroupe, asking the channel to tender an apology or else be ready for the legal proceedings.
The notice stated that "an anchor of ARY Mubasher Lucman had leveled false and baseless allegations against Shujaat Azeem in his program, accusing him of helping the assassins of former Lebanese prime minister”
“He was also blamed for having a suspicious role in an accident which PM Nawaz Sharif had narrowly escaped," the notice said.
In his program that was aired on February 19 on ARY News, Mubahser Lucman had accused Shujaat Azeem of selling a Pakistan Airlines plane to his daughter's company at a throw away price, while he was also held responsible for giving a plane to Emirates Airlines as a gift.
