KARACHI: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Faisal Vawda presented a charge-sheet against Mutahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain while addressing the media in Karimabad after inaugurating their election camp on Tuesday.

Vawda put forward three demands with regards to Altaf Hussain. He demanded that since Hussain is a proclaimed offender a red warrant should be issued and he should be brought back to Pakistan. His second demand was to seize Altaf Hussain’s property in Pakistan and lastly he demanded that the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) enforce a ban prohibiting Altaf Hussain from addressing the public via telephone.

PTI’s candidate for NA246 Imran Ismail said MQM is scared of PTI and is now pressurizing people. He added that if anything happens to any of their workers, the MQM will be held responsible.

Meanwhile, MQM’s Waseem Akhtar responded to Vawda and Ismail’s statements and argued that PTI is looking for a way out. He clarified that his leader was in exile and was not absconding. He added that his party is now wise to PTI’s tactics which are aimed at inciting violence.

He said that MQM will not be incited to violence likening PTI’s political acumen to Montessori going children calling them ‘tadpoles’.

Later speaking in Geo News programme “Aaj Shahzeb Khanzada Kay Sath’, Faisal Vawda alleged that there is an armed wing in MQM. He said that the entire MQM is not a terrorist organisation.

Vawda also demanded investigation into Saulat Mirza’s allegations.
